At Babson Pacific, our mission is to acquire and grow an exceptional business in Southern California, building on its legacy with a long-term commitment to its people, customers, and continued success.

Meet Maithri

Maithri grew up around a family business with a long tradition of entrepreneurship and hands-on ownership. Although its operating businesses were sold when he was young, its legacy remained an important part of his upbringing. Roger Babson, a member of his extended family, also founded Babson College, reinforcing a family tradition of entrepreneurship and practical business leadership.

After studying Finance at Emory University, Maithri began his career in consulting before building experience across e-commerce and retail operations at companies including Walmart and Apple. He later earned his MBA from Columbia Business School, where the idea for Babson Pacific began to take shape.

Maithri founded Babson Pacific to acquire and personally operate one established business in Southern California. His goal is to preserve what its founder has built while providing the thoughtful leadership, investment, and long-term commitment needed for its future—creating a new chapter in his family’s entrepreneurial tradition on the West Coast.

Maithri also serves on the boards of two philanthropic organizations. Outside of work, he enjoys tennis, spending time outdoors, and exploring Southern California with his wife, Emma, and their dog, Gumbo.

What Sets Us Apart

Southern California Focus

I live in Southern California and intend to build my future here. My goal is to acquire one local business, remain actively involved in its operation, and support the community it serves for years to come.

A Thoughtful Transition

I understand that selling a business is about more than price. I will work closely with the owner to create a transition plan that protects the company’s reputation, customer relationships, culture, and the legacy they worked hard to build.

Long-Term Stewardship

Babson Pacific is not a traditional private equity firm. I am seeking one business to lead for the long term as an engaged and empathetic employer. I will prioritize the people who make the company successful, support their development, and invest thoughtfully in the business’s continued growth.
